*If you live in New York, your disability will be integrated with the New York State Disability program. The Standard will coordinate the New York disability benefit with Pursuit Aerospace’s short-term disability program. The Standard will also administer the Massachusetts Paid Family Medical Leave (MA PFML). If you work in Connecticut, you will need to apply directly for State benefits that may be available to you. Please note that any disability benefit you receive from The Standard will be reduced (offset) by any State disability you receive. Please contact Human Resources for assistance.

Long-Term Disability

You can choose to purchase Long-Term Disability coverage, which provides income replacement if you have a non-work-related illness or injury after 26 weeks when your Short-Term Disability benefits end, in the event that you are still not able to work due to a non-work-related illness or injury. You can purchase coverage with post-tax contributions, which will provide 50% of salary, up to $10,000 per month tax-free.

Please Note: If you enroll for Long-Term Disability coverage when you are first eligible, you will need to provide Evidence of Insurability (EOI) to The Standard. If you don’t enroll for coverage when you’re first eligible, you can still enroll, but you will be required to provide EOI.

Voluntary Long-Term Disability Rates

Rates for voluntary Long-Term Disability are based on your monthly salary and will be available online when you enroll.
